Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 19, 2025
The Short Version (TL;DR)
This is a legal document, but here's the gist in plain English:
- By using DealDog, you agree to these rules.
- Our price data isn't a guarantee; always check the price on Amazon before buying.
- Don't scrape our data, break the law, or abuse the service.
- If you break the rules, we can terminate your account.
- Our liability to you is significantly limited.
1. Agreeing to These Terms
By using our website and price tracking service ("the Service"), you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of them, you cannot use the Service.
2. What We Do (and Don't Do)
DealDog is a service that provides Amazon price tracking and price history data.
Important: The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. This means we don't offer warranties of any kind. We do our best, but we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
3. Your Account Responsibilities
When you create an account, you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password secure and ensuring your email address remains current for receiving alerts. Let us know immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use.
4. The Rules: How to Use the Service
You agree not to use DealDog to do any of the following:
- Break any laws.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect our data using automated tools.
- Interfere with our servers or disrupt the service.
- Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
- Create multiple accounts to get around our free limits.
5. A Note on Price Accuracy
This is critical, so please read it carefully.
- The price data we show comes from Amazon and may not always be 100% accurate or up-to-date.
- We are not responsible for any financial losses you incur based on our data.
- Always verify the final price on Amazon.com before you make a purchase.
6. Our Relationship with Amazon
To be clear: DealDog is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. We participate in their affiliate program, but that's the extent of our relationship.
7. Intellectual Property
The DealDog service, including our logo, content, and code, is owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. All product images, names, and prices belong to their respective owners (usually Amazon or the seller).
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data and is considered part of these Terms.
9. Our Liability Is Limited
To the absolute maximum extent permitted by law, DealDog is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that result from using our service. This includes any loss of profits, data, or revenue.
In any event, our total liability to you will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
10. If You Get Us Sued (Indemnification)
If your use of the Service or violation of these Terms leads to a lawsuit or claim against us, you agree to cover our costs, including legal fees.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, especially if you violate these Terms. If your account is terminated, your right to use the Service stops immediately.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make a change that we consider significant, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use DealDog after the changes are made, you agree to the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any legal disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts there.
